Climbing is a gameplay mechanic in I Am Alive. It is what allows the Protagonist to move from building to building and in some cases, up and down a building. It is used in all chapters, and is first featured in Chapter 1: Return.

GameplayEdit

The Climbing for I AM Alive is very similar to that of the Assassin's Creed series, being made by the same developer, Ubisoft. It consists of jumping, going up pipes, shimmying along walls, crawling along the sides of walls, and sliding down destruction.

The time that the protagonist can continue climbing is set by the Stamina bar, which lowers whenever a vigorous climbing activity is performed. When climbing for too long, the protagonist will go into Extreme Effort. If the player stays in Extreme Effort for too long without use of Consumables, he will fall and die.
